Toilet – Ek Prem Katha

Toilet – Ek Prem Katha

Toilet – Ek Prem Katha

This title for the film can be one of the most absurd thing we have heard in recent times. Directed by editor turned director Shree Narayan Singh is directly related with “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan” movement initiated by the government of India.

No prizes for guessing that the film is woven around the plot of getting a toilet in a home. But expect a lot of humor, mostly with witty dialogues. First 30 minutes or so is complete laugh riot with some sprinkle of romance. The fight between “Culture Vs Toilet” gets strong as the film moves into the second half.

Akshay Kumar is hilarious as well as strong headed exactly what the script demands from an experienced artists like him. One film old Bhumi Pednekar acts like an experienced actress, completely natural and effortless. Divyendu Sharma has his role throughout the movie as the protagonist’s brother and Sudhir Pandey is stubborn, the entire film. Anupam Kher’s cameo is something you will remember.

“Hans mat pagli” is a romantic song that frequents in the film and other songs are placed without interrupting the flow of the film.

One word for the film, this Toilet does not stink. A clean family entertainer.
