Kesari 2 Is Calling – Here’s Why I’m Answering

Why I’m Watching Kesari 2

When I watched Kesari, I didn’t just enjoy a film. I witnessed something intense, emotional, and powerful on screen. It wasn’t just about history or patriotism. It was about courage, storytelling, and an experience that stayed with me.

Now that Kesari 2 is out, I need to watch it. And here are my 5 strongest reasons why it will be worth it.

1. It Carries the Soul of Kesari – A Fresh Story with Familiar Fire

I’ll admit it, I had my doubts when I first saw the title Kesari 2. Was it a sequel, a prequel, or just a cash grab? If it was continuing the same story, I would have been hesitant.

But, if we look at the trailer, Kesari 2 is a completely new story, with different characters, different circumstances but the same fire and emotion that made the first film so compelling.

It’s not a continuation, I believe. It’s a new story that lives in the same emotional space. That got me interested. And I’m glad I will give it a chance.

2. Because When Dharma Productions Tells a Story, It Looks and Feels Big

There’s something about a Dharma film. It looks beautiful, sounds powerful, and feels larger than life.

Whether it’s a war scene or a courtroom, Karan Johar knows how to make things look cinematic. Even if he showed us a stable, it would probably feel like a 5 star luxury resort.

But it’s not just about how it looks. It’s about his sincerity and passion for Indian stories. Whether it’s Raazi, Shershaah, or Gunjan Saxena, when Karan steps into patriotic or historical territory, he brings depth, emotion, and polish. With Kesari 2, he’s returning to a legacy he helped shape and there’s no doubt he’s going all in.

More than just the visuals, though, Dharma has a track record of producing strong, emotionally grounded stories. Kesari 2 brings that signature scale to a more intense and dramatic space and it absolutely delivers.

3. There Is Always More Than One Side to a Story

What drew me in was the angle this film takes. We’ve all seen films about bravery and sacrifice, but what happens after the dust settles? What about the politics, the cover-ups, the questions that don’t get answered?

Kesari 2 digs into that. It doesn’t just give you action. It gives you tension, doubt, and the unsettling idea that sometimes history isn’t as clear as we’d like it to be.

I love a film that challenges my perspective. This one did.

4. Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan Together Is a Screen Moment Worth Watching

This casting alone was reason enough for me to watch.

R Madhavan has had such an incredible journey from the charming, romantic lead a cute lover boy in Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein to intense, layered roles in films like Rocketry and in the series The Railway Men. He’s at the top of his game and he proved already playing grey characters in Shaitaan and Test and he is definitely going to kill it this one too.

And Akshay Kumar? We’ve seen him ace courtroom drama before in Jolly LLB 2. He brings a calm but commanding energy that works perfectly in high-stakes scenarios.

Together, they don’t just share the screen they challenge each other. It will be a performance-driven experience, I guess, and it shows?

5. It Was Just a Solid, Gripping Cinematic Ride

At the end of the day, I’m someone who watches films for the experience. The music, the dialogues, the emotion, the tension I want to feel it.

And Kesari 2 gave me that. Whether or not I relate to the historical context, the film delivers a strong narrative, layered characters, and some unforgettable moments, and it is all from the trailer only so far.

It’s not just about what happened. It’s about how it will be told. And storytelling pulls me in from start to finish.

Final Thoughts

So no, I would not watch Kesari 2 because I’m following a franchise. I will watch it because I enjoy bold stories told with power and precision.

From the casting to the visuals to the underlying themes, this film gives what I will go for a memorable cinematic experience.

And that’s why I will watch it.
